Who We Are

Margaret Torley

Margaret Torley was educated in England, studying English and History and later earned an MBA with a minor in Economics.

She became an expert in polymer chemistry as her career catapulted and she came to lead the plastics division of a Fortune 500 Company.

Instrumental in starting several manufacturing companies as diverse as automotive parts manufacturing to flower distribution, Margaret has spent the last 20 years involved with the Pharmaceutical Industry specializing in small Company development, consulting for medium and large Companies and becoming an expert in the selection of all types of production and laboratory equipment.

Joan Newman

Joan earned a BS degree in Biology at New York University and a M.S. Degree in Neurosciences at Purdue University followed by post-graduate science education courses. Joan began her teaching career at Wabash College. After moving to CA, she joined a scientific catalog house and then a large well known rep organization before starting her own company.

Margaret and Joan joined forces in the early nineties, specializing in the Phamaceutical and Biotechnology Industries. They vertically integrated their product representation to address the laboratory, pilot and production needs of these industries. For over twenty years, California Technical Sales has enjoyed growth, success and prosperity by strictly adhering to the principals of Quality, Integrity and Vision.
